With bioavailability of around 77%, it gets metabolized in liver by enzyme CYP2C19 with elimination half life of 1 to 2 hours. Parazo Tab is most commonly prescribed for short term treatment of erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and symptoms of GERD. Metabolism of this drug takes place in two steps including demethylation which is followed by sulfation.
