Rabacid-DCR Cap is prescribed for treatment of acidity & heartburn conditions caused due to production of excessive amounts of acid in stomach. It is formulated using domperidone & rabeprazole as active chemical compounds. This medicine has dual mode of action which includes increasing movement of upper digestive tract, resulting in easy food movement through stomach. Another activity of Rabacid-DCR Cap is covalent binding to proton pump and inhibiting synthesis of high amount of acid. With protein binding ability of 96.3%, it gets metabolized in liver by CYP2C19 & CYP3A4. It is generally prescribed to provide relief from symptomatic gastroesophageal reflux disease and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
